Oregon Youth Ocean Summit
November 16 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Whether it’s the wonder of watching migrating whales or seeing newly hatched seabirds take their first-flight, life in Oregon’s oceans inspires and motivates us to protect our planet. We love our oceans and want to see decision makers take steps to protect them.
With Oregon’s coastal waters heating up rapidly and plastic waste increasing exponentially, now is the time to take action to conserve sensitive habitats like coral reefs and kelp forests, protect marine mammals and fight plastic pollution. When young people come together, we can make change and build a better future for life in our oceans. This event is sponsored by Environment Oregon and OSPIRG Students.
Kyle Motley from the Elakha Alliance will be giving a presentation on what happened to Oregon’s sea otters.
Where: Erb Memorial Union Ballroom, University of Oregon
When: Saturday November 16th, 10:00am-4:30pm
